Soooo is someone gonna rent me???
The Wall Street Journal should be ashamed of themselves. With that said, I’m hiring the nerd for Christmas Eve. It will be Rent-A-Nerd, bottle of Yellowtail Cab, Digiorno’s pizza, my cat Pearl and an aura of sadness.
I recently came across these and I found them extremely useful in determining one’s character, so I’ve decided to answer them here.
1. What can you do today that you were not capable of a year ago?
-Know that no matter what I do, or how many times I fail, I am still loved, and nothing can take that from me.
2. What’s been on your mind most lately?
-Where my path lies, my purpose.
3. Right now, at this moment, what do you want most?
-Clarity
4. In order of importance, how would you rank: Happiness, Love, Money, Health, Fame?
-Love, Happiness, Health, Money, Fame
5. What word describes the way you’ve spent the last month of your life?
-Hectic
6. What is the #1 motivator in your life right now?
-That I have the power to help others.
7. In one sentence, who are you?
-I am strong, stubborn, reckless, but I have a good heart and a willingness to help anyone who I can.
8. What do you want to be known for?
-Making a much needed change.
9. If you had to move 3000 miles away, what one thing would you miss most?
-Ha! Already did that, and it wasn’t a “thing” at all…
10. In one year from today, how do you think your life will be different?
-I’ll be more alone than I once was, might give me time to re-focus and really organize the goals I’ve set for myself.
11. Who makes you feel good about yourself?
-Ed, always him <3
12. What are the top three qualities you look for in a friend?
-Loyal, Understanding, and Strong
13. What has fear of failure stopped you from doing?
-Becoming a pilot, giving up on my dreams that “seemed” so far out of reach…they never were.
14. What is something you’ve always wanted since you were a kid?
-To travel the world, and of course have some harrowing adventures in between ;)
15. What stands between you and what you want?
-The pressures of fitting into society and living a “normal” life. In short, a “secure future”.
16. What do you do when nothing else seems to make you happy?
-Meditate
17. When did you first realize that life is short?
-February 2nd 2011. The night I almost died.
18. What do you need to spend more time doing?
-Shaping myself into the person I want to be. Tying in with that, actually getting to know myself.
19. What issues do you continually refuse to confront?
-My mother.
20. What’s something a lot of people do that you disagree with?
-Accepting the world as it is instead of changing it to what it should be.
21. What’s a common misconception that people have of you?
-That I am “too nice”. When you get to know me, you’ll know I can be strict and harsh.
22. What’s something no one can take away from you?
-My freedom
23. What is something you would hate to go without for a day?
-The company of my love <3
24. When you look into the past what do you miss most?
-Nothing. The past is as it should be, I gain nothing from dwelling on old memories.
25. What memory from this past year makes you smile the most?
-When Ed asked me to marry him.
26. What’s the number one change you need to make in your life over the next twelve months?
-I need to be less harsh, I need to learn to change what I can and leave what I cannot.
27. If not now, then when?
-Great question. Now.
28. What have you done that you are truly proud of?
-Climbed Macchu Picchu mountain, even though it seemed impossible. Not given up after my incident and instead chose to stay. Touched the life of someone I cared about.
29. What’s something new you’ve recently learned about yourself?
-I am an EXTREMELY jealous person…
30. What do you want to remember forever?
-The night in the field.
31. What could society do without?
-Greed.
32. What is one thing, right now, that you are totally sure of?
-I WILL make it, I’ve come too far not to.
33. If you had the opportunity to get a message across to a large group of people what would your message be?
-To give up their greed, stand up for your rights, refuse to live in a world of oppression and hate, to show the powerful that they are powerless against us united.
34. What’s something you said you’d never do, but have since done?
-To let someone know me, the true me, in all it’s ugliness.
35. What’s something you’ve changed your mind about when you got older?
-That love isn’t a weakness.
36. What didn’t last forever that was still worth your while?
-My trip to Peru.
37. If you could go back in time and tell a younger version of yourself one thing, what would you tell?
-You WILL be happy…you were wrong.
38. If you knew you were dying in 60 seconds what would your last words be?
-I love you.
39. When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you’ve done?
-That is one of my biggest fears…I hope it never comes true.
40. What questions do you often ask yourself?
-What is my purpose? Am I really down the right path? Am I making the right choices? Will he let me lead my life like the wind that I am? Among many more…
